For over three decades, Danica Majstorović Eather has been involved in projects with various Serbian groups throughout Australia.

Born in 1961 in Mount Isa, Australia, to World War II immigrant parents (Dušan & Javorka) she holds degrees from the Queensland University of Technology in Business (Management - Marketing & Economics) and in Applied Science (Built Environment - Interior Design). Danica’s work— public and private sector, as well as consultancy—has primarily been within museums and galleries.

The images on diasporamemories.org are being sourced and curated from private archives.

In Brisbane, the Serbian diaspora was fortunate to have amongst them two professional photographers—Predrag Nikolić and Savo Jerić—who arrived from Germany as post-World War II Displaced Persons. Recently, Brisbane locals Brian Smith and Jelenko Dragišić photographed selected items—connected to diasporamemories.org—from Private Collections.

diasporamemories.org could not be possible without all those who generously give their time and knowledge in the ongoing pursuit to preserve memories.
